Second Man Tied To Kent County Homicide Back In Jail

KENT COUNTY, Mich- Roger Musick, the second of two men arrested in connection with a December homicide in Kent County was arrested again Friday night.

According to Kent County records 38-year-old Roger Musick was arrested yesterday and charged with tampering with evidence in connection with the December murder of Steven Day.

The other man in this case 63-year-old Robert McCombs was arrested two weeks ago and was charged with obstruction of justice and being a habitual offender, in connection with the homicide. 

Steven Day, 54, was found dead in the snow Dec. 18 along 16 Mile Road NE near Myers Lake Avenue. Investigators believe he was strangled.

Both Musick and McCombs were arrested in the homicide case, but were later released from custody.

Musick is currently in the Kent County jail on a 250,000 dollar bond awaiting a pretrial hearing in a Kent County Court.
