HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich- One woman had to extricated from her vehicle after a crash on U.S. 31 in Holland Township Saturday afternoon.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Lucille Ammerall a 66-year-old woman was travelling eastbound on Flech Street when she approached the light at U.S. 31. After stopping at the light, she then went through the red light and was broadsided by a vehicle travelling southbound on U.S. 31 driven by Spencer Collins.
Ms. Ammerall then had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was then taken to Holland Hospital in stable condition.
The crash happened around noon on Saturday.
Mr. Collins was also wearing his seat belt as well as his passengers, his wife and one-year-old son. They were uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
