GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After a couple of big winter weather events early in the month, a quick shot of snow is a reminder Wednesday that it doesn’t take much to result in some very slippery driving conditions.
As the clipper system that moved in Tuesday leaves the Great Lakes, the snow will gradually diminish early in the day Wednesday. However, some lake-enhanced snow showers will likely continue in some locations into midday, especially in Allegan, Van Buren, and Kalamazoo counties. Additional amounts will generally be only around an inch or so at most.
Temperatures will slip into the low 20s during the day Wednesday, with wind chill readings around 10° for much of the day. Winds will continue to gust from the west between 15 and 25 mph.
Another clipper will bring widespread snow to West Michigan again by early Thursday; check out the full forecast on the Weather page.
