GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Firefighters battled a house fire on Grand Rapids’ northeast side early Tuesday morning.
The first call came in at around 6:20 a.m. for a fire at 735 Lydia NE. Police say the residents were in the process of evacuating the home.
As of 7:00 a.m., crews were still on-scene investigating. An elderly woman who lived there reported feeling faint after the fire, and went to the hospital as a precaution.
