PARK TWP, Mich.- The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a suspicious death at Amberwood Apartments.

Captain Mark Bennett says a 38-year-old Park Township man was found dead covered by snow, Sunday night.  They believe his body had been there for 24 hours.

Bennett says head trauma on the man was suspicious and possibly not consistent with a slip and fall accident.  An autopsy has been completed but results are not expected to be released until Wednesday.  Bennett would not say if the man’s death was caused by the head trauma or the weather elements.

The man was reported missing after family hadn’t heard from him and he failed to show up for his work shift at midnight.

Police found the man’s body next to his car which they believe had been running for 24 hours.

Bennett says several people have been questioned and are continuing to be questioned through the investigation.

Police tell us the man has no criminal history and they rarely have any issues at Amberwood Apartments.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
