EAST LANSING, Mich. — It’s one of the hottest games of the season, but it will be played on one of the coldest nights.

No. 4 Michigan State hosts No. 3 Ohio State at the Breslin Center Tuesday night and the school will also be honoring the Rose Bowl-winning football team at halftime.

With the cold temperatures expected around game-time, Michigan State is asking fans attending the game to take proper precautions. MSU students will be allowed to enter Breslin Center one hour early, beginning at 6:30 p.m. For their safety, MSU students will not be permitted to arrive early and camp out or stand in line waiting for doors to open.

Those who arrive early will be asked to leave and find warm shelter until returning once doors open. Doors to the general public will open at 7:30 p.m. – the normal 90 minutes prior to a 9 p.m. start.

In addition, fans are asked to carpool as much as possible due to a reduction in parking spaces because of snow piles in the parking lots.
