Michigan State Football To Be Recognized During MSU-OSU Hoops

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The biggest basketball game of the season at the Breslin Center will now be a stage to recognize the Rose Bowl champions.

The Michigan State athletic department tells FOX 17 that the Michigan State football team will be honored at a halftime ceremony during Tuesday night’s men’s basketball game between the fifth-ranked Spartans and third-ranked Ohio State.

Mark Dantonio and the Spartan football program just finished one of the best seasons in program history with a 24-20 win over Stanford in the 100th Rose Bowl on Wednesday. The team also won its first Big Ten Championship game in December, finishing the season 13-1.

Depending on the outcome of Monday’s national championship game, Michigan State could finish the 2013 season ranked as high as second in the country,
