Charges Dropped Against Two Men In Connection With A Kent County Homicide

NELSON TOWNSHIP, Mich- Charges against two men in connection with a Kent County Homicide have been dropped.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, charges against Robert McCombs and Roger Musick have been dropped in connection to the homicide of 54-year-old Stephen Day.  It is unknown at this time why the charges were dropped.

On Wednesday, the body of Stephen Day was found along 16 Mile Road NE near Myers Lake Avenue NE.  A driver found Day’s body thinking at first that it was a deer.  An autopsy was done on Thursday, and the Kent County Medical Examiner’s Officer ruled the cause of death as homicide.

Both men have been released from the Kent County Jail.
