GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Traffic was flowing steadily during the Friday evening commute. Side streets however have been described as a nightmare by many drivers.
Rain showers were scattered in the Grand Rapids area starting at about 3:30 p.m., and as temperatures drops through the evening, that rain is expected to freeze.
Last minute holiday shoppers are urged to allow extra time for travel and to take it slow on the roadways.
