GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Developers at Rockford Construction hope to break ground in the next couple of weeks on an 18-unit rental complex located at 600 Douglas in Grand Rapids. This is an ongoing attempt to revitalize the neighborhood along Bridge Street west of US-131.
In addition, the city planning commission said it has approved a new brewery to be developed in the vacant Little Mexico Cafe on Bridge Street. Three siblings are taking part in the venture, and they hope once the brewery is open, more businesses will move into the area.
Residents at River House said they look forward to seeing more businesses to visit west of downtown, such as new eateries and specialty grocery stores.
The unnamed brewery is expected to open it’s doors within the next year.
