NORTON SHORES, Mich. — The city of Norton Shores is currently battling two active water main breaks.
A broken water main on Lake Harbor Road at Belmont Drive has resulted in water shutdown on Lake Harbor from Seminole to Crestwood affecting many residents. Lake Harbor Road is closed between Maryland and Spencer.
Another water main break has occurred on Sheffield Street at Lincoln Avenue. Several properties are also affected at this location.
City crews are on site to make repairs at both locations. Water is expected to be off for several hours in both places while crews work to repair the breaks and restore service.
The city said there is nothing that needs to be done by the affected residents at this time.
