ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich.- New details are being released about a head-on crash that happened on Friday night. It happened on Grand River Drive just north of Michigan Street around 8 p.m.
Kent County Sheriff’s Deputies say 39-year-old Jeffrey Schurtz was going north on Grand River Drive when he crossed the center line and hit another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, 59-year-old Ronald Vanderboon, had to be airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. Schurtz was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Neither person’s injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
Deputies are still investigating but believe alcohol may have played a factor.
