BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – While most of West Michigan is enjoying cold sunshine, areas to the southwest are getting some very heavy lake-effect snow.
This picture is near the intersection of I-94 and I-196 in Berrien County. Over six inches has fallen in these areas. The heaviest snow band extends from South Haven into eastern Berrien County, western Cass County, and all the way down to South Bend, Ind.
Snowfall totals so far:
- Benton Harbor, 7.0″
- Dowagiac, 7.0″
- Bangor, 5.5″
- Buchanan, 6.0″
