Remaining Red Cross Shelters and Warming Centers Close

red cross volunteer.jpegGRAND RAPIDS, Mich.  – The American Red Cross of West Michigan has closed all of the remaining shelters and warming centers that were opened after widespread power outages following severe weather on Sunday.

Seven Red Cross shelters were opened on Monday as tens of thousands of homes in West Michigan were left without electricity or heat. Approximately 90 people stayed in or visited Red Cross shelters between Monday and Thursday during the outages.
