KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A man showed up to St. Mary’s hospital with severe burns Thursday morning, which eventually led to the discovery of a meth lab in Byron Township.
Three people, including that 53-year-old man, are now awaiting formal charges for operating and maintaining a meth lab.
According to a press release, the man was being extremely vague about how what kind of fire caused his burns, which prompted hospital officials to contact the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.
When they arrived at the residence at the Cutlerville Estates Mobile Home Park, they discovered two additional suspects and recovered evidence from the lab. Their names will be released pending formal charges.
