LANSING, Mich. — A woman from Christmas, Michigan and her stunning photograph of a sunset over Lake Superior are the winners of a Pure Michigan photo contest.
Carla White’s snapshot will be featured in the 2014 Pure Michigan Travel Guide, which will be released in Spring. It was named the winner of the Pure Michigan Moments Photo Contest on Tuesday.
According to a release on the official website, “More than 3,000 photos ranging from picturesque landscapes to urban adventures and featuring all four seasons and destinations across the state were submitted to Pure Michigan through Facebook, Twitterand Instagram. In total, 56,211 votes were cast during the contest.”
