LOWELL, Mich. – An investigation is underway after an infant died at a daycare in Kent County.
Investigators were on the scene 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Avery Street in Lowell. They said the infant was roughly 3 months old.
When they arrived at the facility, a day care worker was performing CPR on the baby. According to police, the child was taking a nap and when a worker checked up on them they noticed they weren’t breathing.
No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow to learn more about the exact cause of death.
Parents were called to the daycare to pick up their children after the incident.
