COVERT TWP., Mich.- The passenger in a car is dead after a crash on Friday night.
Covert Twp. Police say a car crashed in the 72000 block of County Road 378 around 9:45 p.m. Police say the car crashed and trapped the driver and passenger inside before catching fire. First responders put out the flames and had to pull both people out.
The passenger died in the crash and their name is not being released at this time. The driver was taken to the hospital and there is no update on their condition. Covert Twp. Police say speed does appear to be a factor, they are still investigating.
