WAYLAND, Mich.- Allegan County Dispatchers tell us that a commercial structure is on fire in the 31 hundred block of 10th Street.
Dispatchers say the call came in around 3:40 a.m. Saturday morning. Our crew on the scene says the building is Greenway Transportation which is a truck repair shop. There have been reports of explosions coming from the building as firefighters work to put out the flames. According to workers from the company, the building houses barrels of waste oil and gas for trucks along with tires. Firefighters say when they got to the scene the building was fully involved.
Dispatcher say at least seven different departments are on scene this morning. The owner says the building is a total loss but he plans to rebuild.
Investigators are still looking for a cause.
