2 Men Arrested After Traffic Stop

BATTLE CREEK, Mich.- Two men are behind bars after a traffic stop on Saturday night. It happened around 5 p.m. at Union and Cherry Streets.

Police pulled the car over and searched it. After searching, they found drug paraphernalia, a small amount of suspected crack cocaine and $1200.

The 17-year-old driver and his 21-yer-old passenger were both arrested. When the 21-year-old was taken to jail, deputies searched him and found about 40 grams of suspected crack cocaine on him. Those drugs were seized.

The 21-year-old is being charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver and smuggling contraband into a government building. The 17-year-old was charged with possession of crack cocaine.
