GRAND RAPIDS, Mich- A body has been found on the Grand River Sunday afternoon.
Grand Rapids Police and the Kent County Dive teams responded to recover the body, which was found by fishermen. The body was discovered around 1:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon, southwest of the I-196 bridge over the river. That is near Millennium Park.
Police say the victim is a black male, estimated to have been in his 20s or 30s at the time of death. It is still unknown how long the body has been in the river. The victim has not been identified at this time.
The Grand Rapids Police Department is still investigating.
