ASHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich — According to the Michigan State Police the crash happened around 2pm on October 18 at the intersection of M-37 and 22 Mile road. Troopers say that a car traveling west on 22 mile road pulled in front of a SUV that was traveling northbound on M-37. The 84-Year-Old male driver of the car was killed in the crash. The female driver of the SUV was taking to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids with serious injuries. Police are still investigating the crash and had to close both the northbound and southbound sides of M-37 between Bailey Rd and 136th Street for several hours.
