LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Rick Snyder ordered U.S. flags on all state buildings and within the state Capitol Complex to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Fire Chief John Allison, of Custer.
Allison passed away Oct. 14 from complications of injuries suffered in the line of duty on Oct. 7. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, located at 121 Nelson Rd. in Ludington. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 3 p.m. at the church.
