Chilly Weekend Ahead

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN — A sunny and slightly warmer Friday afternoon will give way to a chilly weekend as cooler Canadian air moves in. A mix of clouds and sun will help temperatures warm into the mid to upper 50’s Friday afternoon. Friday should stay mostly dry with light and scattered sprinkles staying north of Interstate 96.  Better chances for rain return Saturday as cooler air moves over the warm lake creating lake-enhanced rain showers. Rain will likely be light to moderate throughout the day Saturday. Temperatures will begin to fall throughout the weekend as well with afternoon highs struggling to reach into the upper 40’s and low 50’s.

Cooler temperatures and rainy conditions hold on through the end of next week as we shift into a late fall-like pattern. Average first snow fall dates are only weeks away and as the pattern shifts to a cooler one, all eyes will be on next week as temperatures are forecast to fall below average and inch closer to freezing for morning low temperatures.
