Man Found Dead In Home Died From Blunt Force Trauma

generic police lightsGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — According to the Grand Rapids Police Department On October 16, around 6:45p.m. police responded to a home in the 2000 block of Krislin St. NE, on a report of a 56 year-old male subject that was unresponsive.

Upon arrival, the homeowner met officers. The homeowner indicated to officers that she arrived home and found her boyfriend inside the home unresponsive. The homeowner called 9-1-1 and attempted to render assistance to the victim. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim was identified as John Cote Dahlinger.The autopsy results indicate that the manner of death was homicide. The cause of death was blunt-force trauma.
