KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Former University Prep math teacher Jamila Williams was sentenced Tuesday to between eight and 15 years in prison after pleading no contest to having sex with four of her male students.

Williams, 35, pleaded no contest Sept. 19 to three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.  She was arrested in June after parents came forward with allegations.

In court, the parents of those 15 and 16-year-old victims minced no words when confronting Williams following her sentencing.

“You are a sick, sadistic child molester,” one mother said to Williams while speaking in Kent County Circuit Court.

Parents also detailed several alleged methods Williams used with their children.  One said that she threatened to fail their son when he tried to say no to continuing to have sex with her.  Another claimed that Williams had locked her classroom door and sexually assaulted their son during school hours.

When it came time for her turn to address the court, Williams denied those accusations.

“I am not a predator.  I did not prey on these boys.  I’m very sorry,” she said.
