Weekend Forecast: P.M. Showers Saturday

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After dry and very nice weather carried us through the work and school week, some rain is in the forecast again over the weekend.  However, that rain will be confined to just a few hours between midday Saturday and daybreak Sunday.

Friday is another beautiful fall day, with a crisp morning followed by sunshine warming things up into the mid 70s in the afternoon.  Friday night likely won’t be quite as chilly, with lows holding around 50°.

More clouds will move in during the day Saturday, but a fair amount of sun is still expected.  The narrow band of rain pictured in Nebraska and Kansas on the map above is the same one that will move into the region late Saturday afternoon.

As the rain moves through, any given location in West Michigan is unlikely to see more than a couple hours of rainfall.  The entire band will weaken as it drives eastward, and rain will be totally clear of West Michigan by early Sunday morning.

Temperatures will remain very warm Saturday before coming back closer to average for mid-October early next week.
