WARNERVAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. —  Michael Loren Warner, the man who allegedly led police on a two-county chase that ended in Van Buren County Wednesday, surrendered and was arrested unarmed Thursday in a barn in the Bloomingdale search area.

Warner, 32, was wanted for parole violations, and allegedly cut his tether and fled.  Thursday, he reportedly stole an ATV and several guns from a 14th Avenue garage in Bloomingdale.  He was apprehended just after 6:45 p.m. on 41st Street just south of County Road 388.  The owner of the pole barn where he was captured is related to the man who had his ATV and guns stolen, according to police.

Bloomingdale Public Schools were put on lockdown at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, and all students were required to be picked up by their parents.  All evening activities were put on hold both there and at Gobles Public Schools, where students were also required to be picked up by their parents.
