Search Is On For Man Who Led Police On Chase After Cutting Tether

WARNERALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office and Parole Officers with the Michigan Department of Corrections are looking for Michael Loren Warner for a Parole Violation and Fleeing and Eluding.  Warner was reported to have cut his tether on October 9. He was on Parole for home invasion and larceny.

Warner is believed to have made some threatening statements that would indicate he maybe a danger to himself.

A Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office located Warner’s 2004 VW Passat in Valley Twp near 44th St. and Grant Drive shortly before 5pm on October 9. Contact was made with Warner however, he disobeyed verbal commands and attempted to flee.  The Deputy deployed his taser unsuccessfully as Warner drove away. A pursuit ensued through the south/central part of Allegan County and into VanBuren County.

The Pursuit was discontinued due to the high rate of speed and disregard of traffic control signs by the suspect. The suspect’s vehicle was found abandoned in VanBuren County on CR 388.
