BARRY COUNTY, Mich.- Barry County Dispatchers say M 37 from Adams Road to Shaw Lake Road just south of Middleville is now back open after an accident.

Barry County Sheriff’s Deputies at the scene of the accident say a car was going north when it was hit by another car who was recklessly driving. Two other cars then came up to the accident and stopped to help. That’s when a 5th car came up on the scene and hit one of the cars that was helping. Witnesses at the scene say all five cars had just left a wedding reception at the Barry County Expo Center.

The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the possibility of Road Rage that might have started this accident.

Sheriff’s Deputies say 3 people in their 20s were taken to the hospital. Deputies say they are in stable condition but will probably have permanent injuries. There were no fatalities in the accident. The Barry County Sheriff’s Department says alcohol and speed do appear to be factors. They are still investigating.
