LUDINGTON,Mich. — According to the Mason County district court Sean Phillips baby Kate’s father has been charged with open murder for the death of baby Kate. Phillips was convicted of unlawful imprisonment in Mason County more than two years ago after fleeing with his daughter after an argument with her mother. Since that time, police said he wrote a letter admitting to killing his daughter, although he claimed it was an accident.
Despite a relentless search, including a recent one in June, her remains have not been found.
