Tigers Get Oakland In ALDS

Posted

DETROIT, Mich. — In a rematch of a 2012 American League Divisional Series, the Detroit Tigers will face the Oakland Athletics in the 2013 ALDS starting Friday, October 4.

Detroit beat Oakland three games to two in the 2012 meeting — but the A’s won four of seven regular-season meetings this year — including taking three of four at Comerica Park at the end of August.

The A’s will have home-field advantage in the series — playing two games in Oakland — and at least one in Detroit.

The Tigers will host Game 3 on Monday, October 7 and Game 4 on Tuesday, October 8 — if the best-of-five series goes more than the minimum three games.

Tickets for the two ALDS games at Comerica are on sale at the Tigers’ official website.

Potential American League Championship Series tickets will go on sale on Wednesday.
