Friday Forecast: Festival the Wurst, Not the Weather

Posted

NEW SALEM, Mich. — A very nice weekend of fall weather will feature unseasonably warm temperatures as some big events continue around West Michigan.

Sunshine and highs around 80° will stick around both Friday and Saturday.  Some patchy fog is possible each morning, with clouds only starting to increase a bit by late in the day on Saturday.

A cold front will bring rain showers, but the timing will work out such that most of the wet weather falls after midnight Saturday night into around midday Sunday.  Temperatures will drop off as well, but still end up around 70° Sunday afternoon.  Average highs for late September sit in the upper 60s.

Dry weather and temperatures in the 70s will return for Monday and Tuesday of next week.

ArtPrize will be a busy place in downtown Grand Rapids this weekend; but, if you’re looking for some traditional fall fun, you may want to check out the Wurst Festival Ever, celebrating its fourth year in New Salem (northeastern Allegan County).
