Grand Rapids, Mich. — According to a press release Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (O-A-K), local professional construction firm, is pleased to announce the completion of a $2.3 million renovation project at historic Stocking Elementary School for Grand Rapids Public Schools (originally built in 1923).
The scope of work included electrical upgrades, new lights and finishes, a new elevator, upgraded building controls and miscellaneous improvements so the district could reopen the school after being closed since 2010. As Construction Manager, O-A-K provided on-site supervision, total project budgeting, schedule management, logistics coordination, quality control and safety management. The project was completed on time and within budget.
