KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Western Michigan University has temporarily suspended the fraternity that was the site of a Sunday shooting that injured two people.

Phi Beta Sigma will be suspended pending an official police report.  The shooting occurred after uninvited guests allegedly showed up at the gathering and were turned away by members of the fraternity.

According to a release from the university, Phi Beta Sigma was suspended following several complaints from neighbors in the area.  As part of the suspension, the fraternity may not hold any parties or other social activities and must petition the university for permission to meet with its members.
