BARRY COUNTY, Mich. — A freshman football player for Ottawa Hills was airlifted to the hospital Thursday evening after sustaining a serious injury during a game at Hastings High School.
According to Hastings Athletic Director and Assistant Principal Mike Goggins, the injured player was unconscious for a few moments after a hit, but was conscious and breathing when being transported to the hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery and be released from the hospital late Thursday night.
