KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — A 58-year-old man was charged Monday with stabbing a Portage woman in the neck and killing her last week.
Clinton Smith was charged in Kalamazoo District Court with open murder. Officials say he killed 56-year-old Delores Smith in her residence at Devonshire Apartments at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. She died from a single stab wound to the neck, according to Portage Police.
Smith was located hiding under a trailer in Saginaw after a manhunt that same day.
