ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Investigators say the suspect in police custody for the homicide of a man at York Creek Apartments is his cousin.
The body of 33-year-old Brandon Nelson was discovered Friday in the 3800 block of Yorkland Drive NW in Alpine Township. According to the Kent County medical examiner, Nelson died of blunt force trauma.
Deputies with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department took 23-year-old Kyle Wilsoninto custody. He will be charged Monday afternoon with the death.
The sheriff’s department said both men lived in the apartment together.
