LUDINGTON, Mich. — Eric Knysz was officially charged Friday with the Sept. 9 murder of Michigan State Trooper Paul Butterfield.
In addition to the murder charge, the 19-year-old was also arraigned on a felony firearm charge, carrying a concealed weapon and stealing a vehicle. He was charged as a second-time habitual offender because of a 2008 home invasion conviction.
