Body in Grand River Identified as 53-Year-Old Man

Grand Rapids, Mich.– The Grand Rapids Police Department says the body found in the Grand River on Monday has been identified as David Slaughter, 53.

The Kent County Medical Examiner’s office says the cause of death is an accidental drowning.  Slaughter did have a blood alcohol level of .520.  There was no signs of trauma.
