GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Kent County Sheriff needs your help finding the people who hit a motorcyclist on Friday night.
It happened around 5:30 pm on East Beltline Avenue SE just north of Cascade Road SE. The Sheriff says the motorcyclist was going south when a red Chevy Lumina switched lanes and hit the side of the bike. That sideswipe caused the biker to be thrown from her bike.
Witnesses say after the car drove away from the scene, it pulled into Kingswood Drive SE where a male driver and a female passenger switched seats. They were last seen going towards Cascade Road SE.
Witnesses describe the driver as a white male around 40 years old and about 6 feet tall. He is thin and has a short haircut along with a goatee. He was last seen wearing what witnesses described as dirty work clothes, a white t-shirt and jeans. The passenger is described as a white female also around 40 years old. According to descriptions, she is thin and has shoulder-length red hair.
The biker has some road rash and her right foot is injured from the accident.
