KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A memorial has been scheduled for the 88-year-old man found murdered in his Kalamazoo home.
A memorial for Alfred Minka is scheduled 4 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical Lutheran United Church of Kalamazoo.
Minka was found dead in his Kalamazoo home in the in the 3100 block of Brookmont Street in Kalamazoo Friday, Aug. 23. His death was later ruled a homicide.
Friends say he was a Latvian immigrant who came to the United States 60 years ago. He worked at the Eaton Corporation for 30 years.
