Power Outage on Grand Rapids’ NE Side

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Power was knocked out for some customers on Grand Rapids northeast side Sunday morning after a car accident.

Grand Rapids Police were called to the area of 4 Mile Road and Plainfield Avenue just before 8am after a car struck a utility pole.

Following the accident, the lights began flickering at the FOX 17 studios about one mile away from the crash scene. As of 10 a.m. Sunday morning, power was restored to that area.

There was about 1,000 Consumers Energy customers without power.
