GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The driver of a sports utility vehicle is expected to face charges as early as Wednesday morning, after an SUV crashed into some cars and a porch.
It happened near Tamarack and Crosby in the city’s northwest side at around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Witnesses say the SUV was speeding and lost control. That’s when it crashed into some other cars and went airborne, hitting a nearby home in the process.
A woman who was on the porch at the time of the accident was injured when some debris hit her. She was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was also hospitalized. Once he’s released, he will face several charges, including OWI Causing Injury.
