ALLENDALE, Mich. — The upcoming school year is fast approaching for students in Michigan’s public and private universities, and many of those students are moving into their temporary on-campus homes this week.
At Grand Valley State University, students have already begun the process of getting situated in their dorms, living centers, and apartments. On Wednesday morning, GVSU President Thomas J. Haas — along with hundreds of alumni and staff volunteers — will welcome new and returning students by serving up free ice cream by Kleiner Commons on the Allendale Campus.
