ZEELAND, Mich. — One person is dead and another has been flown to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Ottawa County early Tuesday morning around 1:08 a.m.
Two vehicles collided at the business loop I-196 and S. State Street, dispatchers said. According to them, a black car had failed to stop for the blinking red stop light, and was then struck by a vehicle that was coming from the intersecting street.
There were three patients at the scene, one of whom was a man who died in the accident. The second patient was flown to the hospital by Aero Med with unknown injuries. A third victim suffered minor injuries.
