ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. – One man is dead after a distracted driver’s SUV crossed the center line and hit another car on 56th Street and 140th Avenue around 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19.
Police did not immediately say the nature of the distraction.
The distracted driver was driving north on 56th when his Trailblazer went over the center line and hit a southbound Kia, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the Kia, a male, was killed instantly.
The distracted driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Deputies are still investigating but say the driver could be charged in the case.
