MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — Michigan State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Muskegon Heights after a stolen vehicle complaint Friday afternoon.
The car was reported stolen at Broadway and 7th around 1:30 p.m., but the driver sped away when police tracked them down. Four suspects in the vehicle fled on foot at Columbia Avenue and 5th Street.
An officer fired a shot at one suspect, who was allegedly fleeing while carrying a handgun. They were not struck by the officer’s shot, and no one else was injured in the incident. According to MSP, the investigation is ongoing.
