HASTINGS, Mich. — A 40-year-old Lansing man was airlifted to the hospital after a skydiving accident at Hastings Airport Friday evening.
According to Hastings Airport manager Mark Noteboom, the skydiver was spinning out of control when his parachute opened and he didn’t have control when he hit the ground. He was in radio contact with an instructor on the ground while he was descending.
The man was transported to a Grand Rapids hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
