GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– A piece of history lands at Gerald R. Ford International Airportthis weekend and you can have the chance to see it up close.
A restored Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, known as Aluminum Overcast, will be available for flights and ground tours August 16, 17 and 18.
It will be located on the field of Landmark Aviation, 5500 44th ST SE, in Grand Rapids.
Flights are scheduled in the morning, ground tours begin in the afternoon.
The event is hosted by the EAA Chapter 145.
